Deviation Actions

(Oh boy, dA is 14 already? I'm nearly 22... I feel so young in comparison to a website O_O)

Where to begin? I originally wanted to be on deviantART to create a collection of my favourite Pokémon fan art. And these are just SOME of the many examples, which I remember seeing before coming here.

At some point, I started posting fan art of my own.

(No, I am absolutely not biased towards Manectric, why would you ask)
And I thought it was set, and I'd definitely keep on going with the Pokémon theme forever and ever.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

One day, I found a deviation. I forget what the name was. I wish I could google it or browse for it and include it in this journal, but I haven't been able to track it back in all these years. All I remember was that I really loved it, it looked fantastic, and all it had in the description was "Apophysis 2.09b".
And I thought, "what's that?"
I figured it was the program the user had employed while making that artwork. I googled it and came to the Apophysis website. I downloaded version 2.02 of the program, and I made this.

I think many of the old works I made are really not that great, but I still feel attached to Arrow. It still looks as amazing as it looked four whole years ago, when I hit the "Render" button.

I dabbled with Apophysis for about three months, and all in the while I couldn't help but marvel at the beautiful works that people made with "Ultra Fractal".

I decided I would eventually get the program for myself and try it out.

I did.

It took a long time, a really long time, but I finally started making things I enjoyed and that made me proud of my own artistic exploits.

I found people I look up to a lot, artistically speaking!

...Not to mention friends! :D

And I also started one of the most satisfying community projects ever.

Ultra Fractal monthly Challenges Redux!Apophysis challenges have been hosted for more than a year by sragets, with much success and participation from the fractal community. Following his example, Fractal-Explorer started a series of challenges for the aforementioned program; though still relatively new, they're faring very well too. But what about Ultra Fractal, one of the most used and versatile fractal programs? Since when Ultra-Fractal's monthly challenges have been put on hiatus, nothing has been done to replace them up to date. So what about doing something now? Here's my project: Ultra Fractal monthly Challenges - Redux!
Let's do things orderly and methodically.
This first news article will contain general information about my UF challenges project, how to participate, how to suggest, and what's it all about. After the general news, this month's challenge will be written down. Stay tuned and read on!
So, what are these UF challenges?
Challenges for Ultra Fractal, of course. E

I suggested plenty of DDs over the years, and I was so happy they got accepted - both because it means I have an eye as an artist, and because I bet the people who got them were really happy too.

Wow... now that I pinned it all down, it looks like a huge lot of work for someone who's been here almost five years.

And what more is there to come?

Time will tell, I'm sure!

I started following your dA years ago when I was in a bit of a fractal phase from highschool.  Your work has never ceased to amaze me in all this time.
