Hi again folks, from heavenriver! I come bearing another Fractal Insights issue, featuring an interview with our beloved Community Volunteer, C-91!

Nightfall by C-91

1. Hello! Would you mind introducing yourself?
Hello! I'm C-91 aka Silvia, I'm 23 and I've been addicted to fractal art for almost 3 years! I am a dummy!
Other than that, I'm a student, I'm very clumsy and shy and I like pineapple juice. Noes!

2. You are now the fractal CV, congratulations! What was your main motivation to want to contribute to the fractal community this way?
Thank you! Hug I did that because I love the fractal community, with all its qualities and flaws. Heart I think it's going through some changes, and I'd like to help it in this path. Of course being CV means a lot, but nothing is doable without the help of the whole community. There are many awesome things that can be done together. :) (Smile)

3. Have you ever had your CV application rejected in the past?
Yes, the first time I applied was in 2012. :D (Big Grin) I was really n00bish at the time, and the things was taken extremely lightly. Laughing my ass off! I skipped 2013 and now I think I have more knowledge to take such a task. It's still not easy, but I will do it with pleasure! :D (Big Grin)

4. What is your favourite aspect of the fractal community? What is its main issue?
Sharing is indeed something I really love of the fractal community. Some people are available to put their knowledge at other's service by sharing tutorials and parameters sets, and this is totally amazing IMO. There are a lot of resources from which people can start moving their first steps into fractal art. :D (Big Grin) The main issue is that there's too much division between our sub-communities (people that use different softwares). And what it's worst is that there are divisions even in the sub-communities. Noes! I'm not saying that everybody should get along all together, but soothing these splits would be a good thing. :D (Big Grin)

5. In your opinion, what are the main qualities required to be a fractal CV?
Making fractals would be a good start. Laughing my ass off! It would help to be already known by a portion of the community, so you can go and gather people more easily. It'd be really helpful to have a minum knowledge of most of the fractal programs, but I realize this is rather difficult.Sweating a little... Maybe the fractal CV should be able to appreciate different kind of fractals (from different softwares). :D (Big Grin)

6. What do you expect to gain from this experience?
I don't know, I'm just at the beginning, so I will enjoy it day by day. :D (Big Grin) I think it will help me to grow as community member and fractalist, but we have to see in the end. :D (Big Grin)

7. Do you think the fractal community has changed over the years? If so, in what way? What is your fondest memory of it?
I recently asked to my watchers if they felt the fractal community was going through a change. Yes, I think it's still changing, but we need to be careful that it doesn't go in the wrong way. There are some things that need to be empowered and some that need to be helped to get back on their tracks again. We need to focus on what's really important and scratch some negativity. :) (Smile) I know many people are ready to go through this path, so let's hope for the best! Heart
I have many memories I'm really attached to. They are little comments or actions, encouragement from different people that helped me to go through my bad moments on deviantART. :D (Big Grin)

8. What do you think is the most important aspect that the fractal community should work on to improve? What will *YOU* be working on the most (if it's not top secret)?
I already expressed my point of view on this in other answers. Laughing my ass off! But anyway, being less split between members of sub-communities and sub-communities themselves would be a really great step in this sense. I will try to give variety to my articles and try to interview people from every fractal software available. :D (Big Grin) Also, I'd like fractal art to be more visible to the whole dA community. I have some ideas regarding this, 2015 will surely host some fractal events here on deviantART. EVIL Laughter!

9. That's it! If you have anything else to say, do so here.
Thank you for the interview! Hug And people...no matter what, keep fractaling! Hug

Nice interview! I learned quite a bit today, including about her favoring of pineapple juice. She is a fantastically kind person, and one that I am thrilled to know. :D
