A Long-Time Space Mantis Lost Vinyl
The Lost Mantis Vinyl is firstly a collection of several original fractals that I've created over the years and never released, for a reason or another, and which I have decided to release publicaly. I'll add more on a regular basis.
These artworks are not all esthetic in nature, but may often carry a high level of symbolism and meanings.
You will find here fractals created over 20 years long period, using several fractal softwares.

Description
Apophysis 7x + GIMP 2.6
"In year 2053, mankind discovered a galaxy far beyond human imagination. Stars lied all over on its four-dimensional planes, raining heat and light everywhere from everywhere; planets kept spinning around its invisible core, which granted them energy enough to move on almost at lightspeed. Yet nothing surprised scientists as much as its shape: a closed dome, shrouded in planetary nebulae radiating huge amounts of heat, apparently the source for the prominently orange colour, and the exceptionally high temperatures - ranging from 3,500°C to 5,000°C on the planets' surfaces. No bounds really kept that galaxy together, but fire and flames did embrace it completely, provoking a never-ending combustion expanding to the infinite. An ever-growing, ever-burning space of a tiger-like colour: a tiger hyperspace, it was; that's why it was given the name Tygerspace."
Contest entry for AllThingsFractal's Year of the Tiger contest, ending February 6th, 2010. Fractal manipulation composed by three overlapped fractals (one for the background and two for the two little Saturns), postworked on GIMP to add a little blur to the edges of the planets and to vivacize colours.
Happy contest to all of you, folks!
Edited on February 8th, 2010 to remove frame and signature. No other changes were applied to the original art.
