That's how they called me
When I walked right down the hill
In the biting cold
of December
To a flowing little river
I followed on my stream of consciousness
Wishing, hoping
For someone to save me from my solitude
I threw a rock and bounced it
On the sparkling sunlit reflections
Memories, good old days
Came back to mind without reason
Painted on invisible canvas
I couldn't talk, yet wanted to hear
Someone listening to me
To my voiceless help request
"I am here"
I wasn't even so sure anymore
All I had been together with
Was the bottomless still water and my inner self
In silent grievance
To the point I became my pas

SolitaireGrey clouds grouping in a bottomless skyline
Tarnished remnants of a heartless destruction
Petrified bodies lying around, their eyes closed
And I, the sole eyewitness left
To testify this pointless cruelty
A ghost without a purpose, a walking dead
My State has won, my country is proud
Raising his bloodstained flag high on the battlefield
'Cause it's worth it, it's worth it
And the guns won't end their fire
Till the last of them goes down to oblivion -
So they said, but then I saw them,
Pitied them, and loved them like brothers:
In our victory I tasted mankind's defeat;
And then it rained, it all poured down
And the water cleans

This comes from an ooold param pong I did with *OutsideFate ages ago. The stub parameters were left on my HDD for an unbelievably long time, until I found them again and wanted to complete the work. I asked his permission to post this, since the shape of the fractal in itself is his; I did the cropping, colouring, texturing, and all the other fancy retouches basically.

This whole thing reminds me of fireworks, it is truly beautiful. There are two shapes that are almost symmetrical, which doesn't go with the theme, but it is hardly noticeable. I love the way you mixed some rounded shapes with some that are sharp and others that are cut off. This whole thing makes for quite the mind boggling illusion if one stares at it for too long. I love the contrast between light flashes of light and the darkness, it almost pulls you in to the art. More contrast between the bright yellow, orange and red makes it stunning against the misty blue-grey. Congratulations, a really nice piece!
