This is my birthday present for my friend ~Giulio-91 who's turning 20 today. He said he likes black a lot. This was probably not what he had in mind, but I still hope he likes it.

It came out as a very conceptual kind of work. First off, the title "Hypervoid" is meant to represent a multidimensional void, which extends beyond the third dimension (hence why "hyper", the prefix used in n-dimensional geometry for spaces which have 4 or more dimensions).
Being a void that extends beyond space, it acquires a symbolic meaning which relates to my personal life experience. The tree of life is confined in an undefined lost place, with four fixed points (the yin and yang symbols) that seem to stick it to the wall like you'd do with any painting.
...But unlike paintings, it still glows with the light of life. A light that's bound to refill the void, and bring it back under the sunshine.
