I worked out OutsideFate's parameters a bit more and found some more fractal treasures. The hunt will most likely continue. :D
I got the base from here (though it was almost completely modified later on):

Memories from Another World by heavenriver

The concept behind this artwork kind of came up on its own. I thought of the many people who blindly follow their own religion without much critical thinking about how each belief should be interpreted, and lived. Even as an atheist, I do recognize the power faith exerts on the human race; but being a powerful tool, it also needs to be used correctly, and never be completely separated from consciousness and thought.
Human beings are free to choose whether they believe in God or not; but this choice becomes a constriction as soon as the individual starts being chained to pre-made rules, or fails to respect others, no matter their religious choices.

This is a beautiful piece, and about the concept my take on it is this: I am neither leader nor follower, I make my own path and live by one rule; Treat others the way I want to be treated. Thank You

The title doesn't fit, I don't think.

I thought about it for a while and actually left it as is because a friend told me he liked it. What kind of title would you have given to such an artwork?

'The Days Are Bright' or something less cheesy.

Got it. What do you see in that kind of title, by the way? How do you think it relates to the artwork?

It makes me think of a day in the middle of Spring. The white spots in the pinwheels 'are' few clouds in a light blue sky over a bright, grassy area. A sense of happiness is felt in the wafting breezes propelling the wheels and the motion of nature is all still while moving. Its just the way I see it. :hmm:

Your discussion of the concept, I assume behind the title which is a clever play on words. How that really relates to the fractal, I don't know. Something as intrinsically random or quantized as a fractal could be named about whatever you wanted. Did you name it after the fact? Or did you set out to illustrate this thought, Blinded by Faith? I would hate to try and illustrate any concept with a fractal. So, I assume you named it after it was created. Then it's similar to a rorschach. Then maybe that's what you saw in it. That matters but it makes me look for something with meaning inside what is essentially a meaningless construct. And that may or may not be pointless. To me your words have no connection to this fractal at all. Nice fractal. Nice title and words but nothing connects. It can't. Whatever you did to make that little bit of glare, you probably should have struggled a bit more to emphasize that. Juggled some equations assuming fractal artists still juggle algorithms by hand. Or change the title to "Made Somewhat Uncomfortable by Faith". So, you've given a graphic representation to a clever play on words, and I think your work is stunning. But so is a snowflake and I would would never title a snowflake. Yes it's as deep as anything I see around these parts and I liked what you wrote, so I said "Deep". I almost awarded it my Non-Vapid Award (TM) but fractals are intrinsically vapid, and barely escape being 'fluff' or eye candy because of the work that I know goes into efforts like yours. Pretty. Deep.

As of how I name my works, it depends. Most of the time I wait until the fractal is finished and then think up a title that fits it, so we can say the concept comes later in that case. Other times I start with the concept and make the fractal look like it as much as I can. This was kind of a peculiar case because I started off with both, I had the concept in my head and was working on the artwork in the meantime. Whether you choose to see it as connected to the artwork or not is up to you
The glare is pretty easy to widen, and I take it as a piece of advice about the artwork. You have your own personal view on fractal art and I respect it. Thanks for taking the time to word it. :D

Perfect title for such soft, peaceful and gorgeous fractal that also contains so many sharp-edged forms swarming in cacophony! :) It's quite an accurate portrayal of some people's way of perceiving life under the influence of their beliefs. Still, I have nothing against religion when it is used in a positive, helpful or even constructive manner ... but sadly that's not how it tends to be done.

O and that little spot of light down there is a really nice detail! :D

Seriously nice work!

I added the light spot last, it is supposed to represent the apotheosis of my concept. :D
And I agree with you faith/religion-wise. I find myself pretty interested in anything concerning belief and spirituality, and I hope more people will take it seriously and use critical thought even when it comes down to actually embracing a given cult.

Now what if I post another 80 miles long comment filled with some random tag-rant! rofl That must have distorted your message center way out of dimension!

Anyways, your use of vibrant color is always amazing combined with soft brightness overall.
