This is what I got from deliberately kicking my comfort zone in the butt and simultaneously deciding to make experiments on negative space and faint, sepia-like colouring. I like how this looks like blades. My other title idea was Sakura Blades, actually, but then I decided I'd go for something a bit more conceptual :XD: I thought Absentia (Latin for "absence") would fit negative space quite well

Base parameters from the super awesome Misha:

I totally blame him for offering me to have a look at how he makes these amazing things, I totally do. :paranoid: (You rock buddy! :highfive:)

What I really like about this piece is the silvery reflective quality of its rendering. The color seems as if there is a warm fire or other light just off the frame. Despite the warmth, the silver and the patterns in the piece remind me of snowflakes. The only thing I would like to see better in this fractal is the composition. First, the frame is halved in the middle almost, and second, the most saturated color is isolated to the very far corner of the frame. Just a minor suggestion, but it's something that I'm very aware of as a photographer. As always, I have the rule of thirds ingrained in my mind's eye. Overall, wonderful use of fractals :)

Nicely done! messing with negative space is tricky, hard work, fun, and annoying at the same time, but really pays off well!

It really does! Especially for someone like me, who usually works with very bright colours :XD:
